The Travers Solar Project
The Travers Solar Project in Vulcan County, Alberta, is
owned by Greengate Power Corporation and Copenhagen
Infrastructure Partners. Canada’s largest solar facility,
which is capable of producing 465-megawatts of power,
was developed on approximately 3,330 acres of land just
east of the Travers Reservoir. The project area has a strong
solar resource and will generate clean energy over its 35+
year lifetime. The project team included Matrix Solutions
Inc., TULLOCH, and Stantec.
