Project Nujio’qonik
Project Nujio’qonik in Newfoundland and Labrador will
be Canada’s 昀椀rst commercial green hydrogen producer.
The project will be built on a brown昀椀eld site (a former
pulp and paper mill) and in close proximity to a 230
kilovolt grid that is 90 per cent+ renewable. Over 600 MW
of commercial-scale electrolyzers will be available for
the production of green hydrogen. SK Ecoengineering is
managing the engineering, procurement and construction
responsibilities. Once complete, World Energy GH2 will
produce approximately 210,000 tonnes of green hydrogen
per year.
