Outstanding Achievement in Brown昀椀eld Advancement
Federal Contaminated Sites Remediation
Projects in Nunavut
OVER THE PAST 25 years, Qikiqtaaluk
Corporation (QC) has participated in several
Federal Site Remediation projects on DEW Line
and Long-Range Navigation Sites in Nunavut.
These projects are examples of long-term
dedication to brown昀椀eld remediation, and
development. The project team has successfully
overcome the challenges that come with
working in remote sites with harsh weather
conditions with limited resources. The results
were very positive as the traditional hunting grounds
could be used again by Inuit communities.
Project Team: Qikiqtaaluk Corporation, Qikiqtani Logistics Inc., Sanexen Environmental Services, Defence
Construction Canada, and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern A昀昀airs Canada.
