Acceptable materials must meet stringent requirements prior to
arrival. Approval is sent out with advance written con昀椀rmation according
to regulation and once a client receives that written approval, they’re
able to purchase tickets. For example, if a site is approved for 150
loads, they are allowed to buy 150 tickets. A little bit of a variance may
be accommodated. However, a signi昀椀cant increase in the amount is
unacceptable without additional soil quality testing.
With regard to hydrovac trucks, they are steered to an alternate area and
the small source loads are processed in a separate area, which are tested
onsite. The hydrovacs need to 昀椀ll back up with water before they arrive
at their next job site, so as a convenience they have three onsite taps
available for that, sourcing from well-drawn water.
